Recruit & Attract
By RISE Business Framework · Created by Gary Harper and Brandon McCurdy · Reviewed
Recruiting and attracting talent means making your open role more appealing than competing positions. In RISE, you pick a position of need and score it 1-3 against similar positions on ten factors, from Challenge to Brand. Then you create action items to improve your recruiting and attract better candidates.
How RISE does it
- Identify a position of need within your company.
- Score it honestly 1-3: below, meets or exceeds expectations.
- Compare against other similar positions seeking the same candidates.
- Create action items to improve recruiting and attract better candidates.
Recruit & Attract is one of four tools in Talent Development, part of the Resources quadrant of the RISE Business Framework.

Frequently asked questions
How can a small business attract top talent?
Score your role honestly against similar positions on factors like challenge, growth, culture and brand, not just salary. RISE then has you write action items for the weakest factors.
Why can't I find good candidates?
Your opportunity may score below competing positions on one or more factors. The RISE Recruit & Attract worksheet shows which of the ten factors to fix.
